A trip to Eastcote meant the 1XI would enjoy some of the best teas in the league but sadly Thame had a job to do on the pitch before we could tuck in. Beginning the game in the rain Thame made a fast start, taking advantage of Eastcote’s keeper arriving 10 minutes into the first half with Isaac Laws scoring two and Charlie BC getting another to ensure we were 3-0 up quickly. Despite a keeper being in the goal Thame kept the pressure on with wave after wave of constant attacks which saw three more goals coming before half time with Dave Garghan and Ben Lamb getting on the scoresheet and Isaac completing a first half hat-trick.
Despite the list rain turning into biblical downpour at halftime which continued into the second half Thame kept the pressure on adding four further goals in the second half with Isaac getting his fourth, Lamby his second whilst Zac Harris and Ben Caiger also got their tally’s for the season up and running. The second half became a bit scrappy as people tried to add further goals however when the final whistle went the rain had relented and the sun was beginning to emerge as Thame left the pitch having won 10-0.

MoM - Chris Mullins, not often a keeper gets MoM in a 10-0 win but a couple of unbelievable saves bailed us out in the second half and secured the first clean sheet of the season.
DoD - Cam Skea, despite doing us a favour by playing and having a solid game, turning up with only one hockey shoe and having to wear a bandana to keep the hair out of his face deserves it. Honourable mention to Isaac though for missing an open goal from two yards.
