Ladies 1s had an early start with a trip to Amersham for 10am pushback, upon arrival finding it was so early the gates were still locked.
Despite the early time the ladies 1s were raring with a side of illness to go. Having listened to the team talk: let them hit it around the back and make mistakes, work hard and show a bit of flair they took to the bouncy pitch.
The play started off very cramped with calls from Dan to spread the play and gain some height. Once this was done Lisa hit a fantastic goal to make it 1-0 to Thame. Amersham then upped their game and quickly levelled to make it 1-1
Play was very even with lots of pressure from the forward line on the defence causing them to make mistakes where as the Thame defence calmly hit the ball around the back despite the pressure from Amersham.
The start of the second half at 1-1 was quickly changed by Lisa who put her second of the game away. Not long after captain Charli decided to try a unique way of breaking down play - fall over and try to take the player with you which earned her a green card much to the bemusement of everybody on and around the pitch. Also earning her DOD!
Amersham kept the pressure up and won several short corners, finally converting one to make the final score 2-2.
